The highlight of the day is discovering the UNESCO Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. The aqueduct is the longest and highest in Britain and if you’ve got a head for heights, you can enjoy a scenic walk across the ‘stream in the sky’ and enjoy amazing views of the Dee valley
Witness the stunning views and panorama’s as we take you off road touring into the hills, high above the Dee valley floor. There is the opportunity to get out and walk along the famous Offas Dyke trail – the ancient 7th century border of Wales with England.

Attractions to visit in the town include the home of the famous ‘Ladies of Llangollen’. Alternatively, you might like to step back in time and experience travel from a by-gone era with the unique experience of a Horse Drawn Canal Cruise or take a train ride through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the Dee Vally.
This unique experience takes you back to the time before steam power. Enjoy sitting back and relaxing as the dray horse pulls the canal boat effortlessly on a 45 minute cruise along the famous Llangollen canal. The canal cruises are set to an operating schedule and are subject to availability. *Tickets are payable directly to the boat operator.
There is an option of just a photo stop or to take time and visit inside the house.

Another great short walk is to the source of the Llangollen canal at the Horseshoe Falls on the river Dee. Completed in 1808, it’s an impressive piece of engineering, but what makes it so remarkable is that for all its industrial purpose, it enhances the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Subject to clear visibility and weather on the day, enjoy a drive on the old drover roads in the hills, as we climb to a spectacular ridge set high above the Conwy Valley floor to witness a stunning panorama of the Snowdonia National Park mountain peaks.
A picturesque Victorian spa resort town set between two rivers, where we will introduce you to the local culture of Wales. Discover the 14th century church hidden in the woods, nestling beside the scenic river Conwy, or maybe choose to spend some time browsing the local shops.
The famous chocolate box photo stop with one of the most photographed buildings in Wales. The former 15th century medieval courthouse is situated on the banks of the river Conwy and nestles beside a 400 year old three arched bridge. It makes an ideal stop for refreshments and even a traditional ‘Welsh’ Afternoon Tea.
Enjoy a walk around the medieval town walls of Conwy – which are acclaimed to be one of the best-preserved town walls in Europe.
Alternatively, you can choose to visit the 13th century castle. We normally allow an hour for the visit and tour. *Entrance Fee applies to the castle.
